ND Sober Ride, a Vision Zero program designed to remove impaired drivers from North Dakota roads, will offer discounted Lyft rides in Bismarck and Mandan during the 2026 McQuade Softball Tournament.

Registration is now open for Vision Zero Driving Skills for Success (DSFS), a free, hands-on driving program designed to help teens build safer driving habits and gain real-world driving experience.

As summer travel increases across the state, Vision Zero is reminding drivers that dry roads and clear skies do not eliminate the risks of distraction, fatigue, impairment and speeding. Lane departure crashes continue to be one of the deadliest crash types on North Dakota roads.

North Dakota recorded 85 traffic deaths in 2025, the lowest annual total in 29 years. As partners gather in Bismarck for the 2026 Vision Zero Partner Conference, traffic safety leaders say the progress reflects strong statewide collaboration while reinforcing that every life lost is a tragedy and shared responsibility remains critical.
