The Rollover Simulator provides a powerful demonstration of what happens during a rollover crash at approximately 30 mph. This tool is used to display the critical importance of being buckled up, every seat, every trip, every time.
Please note that specific regulations apply to the transport and use of the simulator:
- Location: The requestor is responsible for transporting the simulator from its location in Bismarck, ND.
- Eligible Entities: To transport the simulator, you must be a State Agency, Political Subdivision, or Quasi-Government Entity.
- Vehicle Requirements: You must use a vehicle owned by your specific agency for transport.
- User Agreement: The requestor must complete a User Agreement with the NDDOT prior to use.
Safety talks and educational presentations must be requested separately. To schedule seat belt and traffic safety education to accompany the simulator, please contact:
- The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP)
- Your Regional Vision Zero Coordinator
Important: If a representative from the NDHP or a Vision Zero Coordinator is not present at your event, the requesting agency will be required to operate the simulator.
